Meillä on myös ihastuttava vierailija tässä kuussa Ann Marie.
Tässä hänestä pieni infon pätkä sekä kaunis työnsä:
We have a lovely and very talented guest designer of February Ann Marie.
Here is a little bio of her and one gorgeous box:
Hi.  I am Ann Marie Governale and I live in New York and teach high school English.  My mother taught me and to knit and crochet when I was a little girl, and it continues to bring me great joy. She also introduced me to quilting years later, and I dabbled in creating art quilts.  My interest in papercrafts began about 7 years ago when I took a rubber stamp class at my local library. From that moment on, I became completely and totally addicted to cardmaking and rubber stamping. I must say that of all three passions, papercrafting is the one that I love the most.
I would love for you to visit my blog, My Eclectic Spirit, and say hello! My blog gives me the chance to meet so many creative friends who share their passion for handmade crafts.  Also visit my Pinterest page that features lots of lovely tutorials and inspiration! Thank you for inviting me to share my "Pimp a Box" project with you for this challenge!
I was very intimidated to join you. I have never made a vintage box before, so this was a great challenge for me.  I painted a 5inch wood box with Martha Stewart "Cloud" paint.  Then I added design paper, "Bailey" by K& Company.  I sponged distress ink on the sanded edges of the top.
I also added pearl flourishes and Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to the top of the box.  I stamped "dream" on a manila tag and cut the letters apart.  I sponged each letter with distress ink and glued to the top of the box, then added flat back Swarovski crystals to each letter.
Last, I decorated the sides of the box with lace, satin pearl trim and shabby seam binding.  I attached roses to the edge as well.  I hope you enjoyed my first vintage box project.
I hope to make many more of them!  For more information about the products I used, you can click HERE.  Have a great day!
